The Scientific Office of the Embassy of Italy in the UK presents the first Science for Society event.

The unprecedented acceleration of technological development of the last decades has been enabled by a more intensive use of some chemical elements of the periodic table. Some of these trends will be highlighted, with focus on elements, which are becoming crucial for the transition to electric mobility.

Nicola Armaroli is Research Director at the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and David Cole-Hamilton is Emeritus Professor of Chemistry in the University of St Andrews.
