The Society of Spanish Researchers in the UK (SRUK/CERU), in collaboration with the University of Newcastle and other associations of EU researchers in the UK, has organised an event to highlight the role of the EU scientific diaspora in the UK R&I ecosystem.

EU and UK researchers will have the opportunity to network and discuss research challenges, opportunities, and the role Scientific Societies play in strengthening research collaborations and science policies in the EU and UK.
This event will be hosted by Spanish Researchers in the UK (SRUK/CERU) and CONNECTS-UK. Panel speakers include representatives from the Polonium Foundation, Portuguese Association of Researchers and Students in the UK (PARSUK), French Education and Research Network (FERN), the Finnish Science Society in the UK, Newcastle University’s International Office (IO) and the Research Funding Development (RFD) team.

This event is open to students, staff, and members of the public. Please register to attend in person or online here. Hybrid event (via Zoom) and in person at Newcastle University.
A brief report summarising the findings and recommendations from this event will be shared with the Scientific Societies and all participants involved.
