The Italian newspaper La Repubblica has published an article in which AISUK is mentioned.

The first version of the article stated that 5,000 Italian scientists had signed a letter to the Italian Prime Minister.

This is an obvious mistake by the newspaper, and the newspaper itself quickly corrected it in the online version.

In our letter, we have simply stated that in the UK there are 5,000 Italian scientists, as estimated by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and reported by Times Higher Education.
